Deputy Operations Manager / Host (m/f) 80% - 100% - Eastern Switzerland
The Ristorante La Scala and the Vinobar Il Sottoscala are located in Rapperswil on the beautiful quay of Lake Zurich. The small town is idyllic and the quality of life is unique. Mountains and city are reachable in a short time.
Our à la carte restaurant has 75 indoor seats and 60 terrace seats. The Vinobar offers 20 indoor seats and 45 terrace seats directly on the lake promenade. This is the meeting point for local, national and international guests.
Our team stands for quality-oriented, Mediterranean cuisine and lived hospitality. Our goals are to pamper the guest and offer them a unique experience.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed personality as:
Deputy Operations Manager / Host (m/f) 80% - 100% Ristorante La Scala
Your tasks:
- Support and representation of the host in the operational management of the restaurant
- Ensuring a smooth service process with a focus on excellent guest experience
- Host role with warm and authentic presence – you are the soul of the house
- Leadership, motivation and development of the service team
- Coordination between kitchen and service for optimal implementation of the gastronomic concept
- Responsibility for quality assurance, orders and compliance with hygiene regulations
- Active participation in daily business as well as ensuring efficient duty roster planning
What you bring:
- Experience in a managerial position in the gastronomy sector
- Completed training in gastronomy, graduation from a hotel management school is an advantage
- Enthusiasm for Italian cuisine and wine culture
- Host personality with natural warmth and service orientation
- Leadership skills with an eye for team spirit and motivation
- Organisational skills, sense of responsibility and high resilience
- Very good language skills in Italian and German
