About the job
Your new role
As a Project Manager Geomatics, you are an all-rounder within the Geomatics and Surveying department. You lead small and medium-sized projects primarily in the Surveying department and partly also for the Geoinformation department. In doing so, you collect data in the field and maintain it in the office within various web applications. Data outputs and GIS analyses complete the diverse range of tasks.
This position is for you if
- You have completed vocational training in the geomatics or construction sector.
- You have initial experience in managing surveying and possibly GIS projects.
- You are accustomed to structured and independent work.
- You are an all-rounder and appreciate a broad field of activity.
- You enjoy new recording technologies as well as evaluation and documentation possibilities (GIS).
- Interdisciplinary work is a matter of course for you and you want to provide services for the population and administration in collaboration with various departments.

Geomatics and Surveying manages the official surveying system, fulfils tasks in construction and engineering surveying, and is responsible for building addressing within the City of St.Gallen. Geomatics and Surveying also operates the Geographic Information System (GIS) of the St.Gallen city administration. The GIS is available to visitors on the internet as a "Digital City Map".
