The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.
We are looking for
In the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy under the nursing management of Ms Evelyne Uhrig, Mr Rufin Motzer is seeking a qualified registered nurse as of 1 July 2026 or by arrangement, for a workload of 80-100% for our gerontopsychiatric acute ward.
Your tasks
- Professional care of patients throughout the nursing process from admission to discharge
- Conducting and organising group activities as well as planning and conducting individual conversations
- Co-shaping the ward environment and ward procedures
- Creating the necessary documentation in ORBIS NICE and forwarding relevant information
- Close and transparent collaboration with all professionals involved in treatment, including external contacts
- Carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic measures according to medical orders
Your profile
- Completed training as a qualified registered nurse
- Professional experience in gerontopsychiatry is an advantage
- You are a flexible and resilient personality
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Good German language skills, spoken and written
