This internship is part of an academic, professional training or socio-professional integration programme, and must comply with the conditions set by the Employment Market Supervisory Board (CSME). The internship duration, set by the tripartite agreement, is 6 to 9 months at 100%.

Context & Mission
Doctors Without Borders is an independent international medical and humanitarian organisation providing care to people in need, those affected by natural or man-made disasters, and victims of armed conflicts, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, beliefs or political affiliation (MSF Charter).
The internship is directly within the GIS Centre whose coordination is based in Geneva. The internship will cover needs and support for all MSF Operational Centres in connection with the GIS Centre’s mandate.
The Intern will support the MSF GIS (Geographical Information System) Centre daily in the development and implementation of tasks in the fields of graphic design and communication (internal and external).
Main Responsibilities
- Design, creation and layout of various communication documents:
- Organising interviews with GIS Specialists upon their return from deployments, on the basis of which field sheets are produced (content and form - support from the Intern in cartography).
- Coordination, design and production of GIS Flash Info (every 3 months)
- Design of templates for technical sheets
- Maintenance of communication documentation on the GeoMSF platform.
- Management of the GIS YouTube and SharePoint platforms
- Contribution to the establishment and implementation of the communication plan arising from the communication strategy
- Contribute to the evolution of the GIS Centre graphic charter and ensure its proper application.
- Participation in the organisation of GIS events (Mapathon and GIS Week)
- Maintenance of Office templates: Word / PPT
- Review and improvement of communication documents according to the target audience: GIS Centre presentations: external, internal …
- Ad-hoc support for OC communication materials
- Participation in strategic meetings: note-taking and drafting minutes (task shared with the Data Management Intern).
Profile Sought
- Currently pursuing or completing higher education studies
- Eligible for an internship agreement with a third party
- Experience in associative and/or humanitarian environments is an asset
- Experience as a graphic designer is an asset
- Excellent command of the Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of YouTube and SharePoint platforms is an asset
- Excellent command of French
- Excellent command of English
Working Conditions
- Mandatory tripartite internship agreement
- Internship 6 to 9 months at 100% (depending on the internship agreement)
- Based in Geneva
- Start date: 7 September 2026
- Gross monthly remuneration: CHF 2,000.-
