Your mission:

As an Application Engineer, you are our technical expert for hydraulic hoses and connection technology. You combine technical know-how with customer proximity and develop solutions that work in practice:

• You advise our customers, sales partners and internal departments on hydraulic hoses, fittings, couplings and hydraulic systems

• You analyse customer requirements and develop application-appropriate technical solutions and product recommendations

• You support our sales team with demanding customer enquiries, projects and customised special solutions

• You accompany customer projects technically – from finding solutions to successful implementation

• You conduct technical presentations, product training and consultations directly at the customer’s site

• You create and maintain technical documentation, product specifications and application guidelines

• You analyse product and application problems, assess their causes and develop suitable corrective and improvement measures

• You support technical complaints and ensure compliance with our technical standards and quality requirements

• You work closely with product management, quality assurance, purchasing, sales and our international product groups

• You support the introduction of new products and technologies and contribute your know-how to the further development of our product portfolio

• You observe market, customer and technology trends and derive optimisation opportunities and technical recommendations from them

• You impart your expertise in training sessions to customers, sales organisations and sales partners, thereby strengthening the technical know-how within our organisation
   

What you bring:

• Completed technical training, e.g. in mechanical engineering, fluid technology, hydraulics, mechatronics or a comparable qualification

• Further training as a technician HF, technical salesman or a comparable technical or business further education is an advantage

• Several years of professional experience in hydraulics, fluid technology or hose and connection technology

• Sound knowledge of hydraulic hoses, fittings, couplings and hydraulic applications

• Experience in technical customer consulting and project management is an advantage

• Analytical thinking and the ability to approach technical challenges in a structured and solution-oriented manner

• Strong customer and service orientation as well as enjoyment of direct customer contact

• Communication skills, presentation skills and a confident manner

• Independent, responsible and precise way of working

• Enjoyment of cross-departmental collaboration and sharing your technical knowledge with others

• Confident handling of MS Office and ideally experience with ERP and CRM systems

• Very good German skills as well as good English skills; Italian and/or French are an advantage

• Willingness to travel regularly approx. 40–60 % within Switzerland
