Scientific Employee: Traffic Modeling 80%
As part of your role as a scientific employee in the Smart Mobility Group at the Institute for Data Analysis and Process Design of the School of Engineering, you actively support research and teaching in the field of mobility and traffic. Together with the team, you contribute to the development of data-driven modeling and analysis methods, thus helping to shape future-oriented mobility solutions.

- You independently take on the leadership and implementation of exciting national and international research and service projects in the field of Smart Mobility and traffic systems.
- You develop innovative modeling strategies and methodological approaches for analyzing and optimizing mobility behavior – with a focus on road traffic engineering and multimodal systems.
- You support the supervision and training of assistants in applied research and development projects.
- You supervise students in Bachelor’s and Master’s theses and provide them with professional guidance during their final projects.
- You hold a university degree or a comparable qualification in a relevant field.
- You bring a dissertation in the field of traffic modeling.
- You work analytically, structured, and precisely, and possess very good mathematical skills.
- You have extensive and broad expertise in quantitative methods in the planning and operation of mobility systems.
- You enjoy scientific supervision and competently and motivatingly support students in project, Bachelor’s, or Master’s theses.
- You have very good knowledge of German and English.
The position is limited to 3 years.
