Assistant Physician at the Outpatient Psychiatry Unit of Orbe
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking, for 1 November 2026, an Assistant Physician to join the Outpatient Psychiatry Unit of Orbe within the Northern Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Service (SPPAN), at 70% to 80% employment.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Northern Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Service (SPPAN) is a recognised (A1) institution for FMH psychiatry and psychotherapy.
The Outpatient Psychiatry Unit of Orbe is a multidisciplinary outpatient unit treating patients suffering from a wide range of mental health disorders. The medical team works closely with all partners in the regional care network and in immediate interaction with the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Consultation of Orbe located on the same site.
Mission
- Your main mission is to provide direct clinical activity with the Unit's patients
- You promote interdisciplinary activity in patient care
- You participate in hospital on-call duties or standby service according to your position
- You take part in psychiatric expert assessments.
Profile
- You hold a federal medical diploma or an equivalent foreign qualification recognised by MEBEKO
- You are familiar with the CHUV environment and, if possible, the Department of Psychiatry
- You are capable of working in a multidisciplinary team
- You show interest in all types of mental health disorders
- You are organised and enjoy working autonomously, under supervision
- For non-French speakers, you have proficiency in French (minimum B2 level, certificate required)
