The opportunity
Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products is renowned worldwide as a specialist in components for power transmission and power distribution. Within the area of High Voltage Products, the Technology Center Switzerland is responsible – as part of a global development organization – for the development and optimization of products like Gas Insulated Switchgear, Generator Circuit Breakers, Surge Arresters, High Voltage Interrupter Chambers, Insulation Components as well as Control and Monitoring solutions.
How you’ll make an impact

Development and maintenance of control and monitoring products (Hardware, Firmware) - Integration and testing of digital monitoring solutions and sensors

Setting up and running automated testing environments

Maintenance and support activities for active digital products

Contributing to development projects for future digital products

Support for customer-specific adaptations of active products

Maintain and expand all necessary skills to master new technologies

Support of engineering, production, sales and product management on quality issues
Your background
-
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Engineering or a related field

Work experience in research and development in the field of control and communication technology

Experience in electronics and firmware development and simulation (e.g. LTSPICE)

Experience with test automation tools and scripts

Experience with integrated development environments

PLC experience would be beneficial

Experience with Matlab, Python

Good language skills in English, both verbal and written – at least basic language skills in German
