The Department of Medicine (D-MED) consists of 14 medical and care units (12 medical services, 1 Investigation and Short Treatment Unit (UITB), and the Blood Transfusion Centre (CTS)) with the particularity of including technical platforms in its organisation (including interventional cardiology and digestive and pulmonary endoscopy), several treatment and care platforms (biological treatments, photopheresis and medical care), 1 hospital and outpatient dialysis centre, and 3 rehabilitation and reconditioning programmes. Furthermore, the medical and care activity is strongly dedicated to inpatients (9 care units, 160 beds) with internal consultants benefiting the patients cared for by other medical departments.
The billing office handles the processing of files for 4 departments: the Department of Medicine (D-MED), the Department of Community and Primary Care Medicine (D-MCPR), the Department of Oncology (D-ONCO), and the Department of Acute Medicine (D-MA).
Within the team of the Admission and Billing Centre of the Department of Medicine (CAF), you ensure the processing of outpatient service invoices in claims, various rejection lists, telephone responses to different requests, patient reception for immediate invoice payment, and all other tasks related to your role.
You engage in a service continuity dynamic by covering for colleagues in their absence and promoting information exchange within the team. You do not hesitate to improve your activities by seeking appropriate assistance. More generally, you contribute to all activities aimed at improving service quality.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification.
You have perfect command of the French language. Understanding English or another language is an advantage.
You are computer literate with proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); ECDL is a plus. Knowledge of HUG software (OPALE, DPA, possibly DPI and GRECO) is an asset.
Previous experience in administration and billing is appreciated.
You have the ability to work autonomously within a team in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment. You are capable of undertaking and managing several tasks simultaneously, with a sense of organisation, planning, and prioritisation.
In a constantly evolving context, good adaptability to change is necessary.
You possess tact, courtesy, and a keen sense of interpersonal relations. You have strong stress resistance and demonstrate discretion.
