Trainee for the Entry and Residence Sectors (Fixed-term Employment of 12 Months)
Migration and Civil Law Office | 80–100 % | Chur (immediate or by arrangement)
Currently, the Migration and Civil Law Office has around 230 employees working at more than 20 locations and is responsible for all tasks in the field of migration, in particular for the issuance and revocation of permits, placement and support, enforcement of removals as well as integration. In addition, the office issues identity documents to Swiss citizens, carries out naturalisations and supervises civil status authorities. The main office of the Migration and Civil Law Office is located in Chur.
We are looking for a trainee to support our two entry and residence sectors immediately or by arrangement. The employment is limited to 12 months (shorter employment periods are possible by agreement).
As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain an in-depth and practical insight into the authorisation sector in foreign nationals law. You will support the sectors in carrying out administrative and organisational tasks and get to know the various procedures, from submitting the application to issuing the authorisation or adopting any measures provided for by foreign nationals law.
The traineeship offers you the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience in a varied and challenging administrative environment, as well as a comprehensive overview of the activities of the entry and residence sectors.
- Support for employees of the entry and residence sectors in daily activities
- Registration, verification and updating of data and documents, including mail processing and scanning
- Processing of applications in foreign nationals law (permits L, G, B and C), including the online procedure
- Correspondence by e-mail and telephone as well as general administrative work
- Research work
- Collaboration with internal and external services
- Of legal age and maturity (academic, commercial or specialised)
- Insight, ability to cope with stressful situations, ability to work in a team
- Good IT skills
- Autonomy, flexibility and discretion
- Good knowledge of German
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
