Are you passionate about energy markets and want to support trading decisions with data analyses and price models? Then become part of our dynamic analysis team and contribute to BKW's trading success.
Your Tasks
- In close coordination with the trading desks and desk analysts, you design, implement, calibrate and maintain analysis tools and price forecasting models for European electricity forward markets. You use modern database and software development environments for this
- You are responsible for the operational model management and best-view configurations of the models
- You monitor market news and regulations and check model performance through backtesting and benchmarking
- You further develop the model portfolio and ensure documentation and lifecycle management
- With your models and analyses, you support trading decisions and participate in strategic and cross-team projects
Your Expertise
- You have a university degree in natural sciences or quantitative economics and ideally at least three years of relevant professional experience
- Profound data science and modelling knowledge as well as practical implementation experience distinguish you
- You have programming experience, preferably with Python and/or .NET, as well as knowledge in quantitative IT applications and SQL databases
- You are familiar with electricity markets and the economic relationships of trading positions
- You communicate very well in German and English, convey complex content understandably and enjoy working in a team
