METAL FITTER
METAL CONSTRUCTOR
1. Site Preparation
- Read and understand technical plans
- Check measurements, levels, alignments
- Inspect supports (concrete, walls, structures)
- Prepare materials and tools
- Secure the area (scaffolding, marking, PPE)
2. Assembly and Fitting
- Assemble metal parts on the ground
- Adjust elements (angles, levels, tolerances)
- Use tools (drill, grinder, welding machine, torque wrench)
- Perform assemblies (bolting, screwing, welding, riveting)
3. On-site Installation
- Install guardrails, stairs, metal frameworks, gates, structures
- Lift and position elements
- Fix parts to the building
- Adjust on site if necessary
- Check stability and safety
4. Measuring and Adjustments
- Take precise measurements
- Adapt parts if needed
- Correct site defects
- Manage unforeseen issues
5. Troubleshooting and Repair
- Intervene at clients’ premises
- Diagnose problems
- Repair (welding, replacement, reinforcement)
6. Finishing
- Grinding
- Paint touch-ups
- Anti-corrosion protection
- Site cleaning
- Final inspection
7. Quality Control
- Check alignment and level
- Inspect solidity
- Ensure compliance with standards
