Senior Physician / Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry 80-100%

Would you like to contribute your expertise in old age psychiatry within a committed and interdisciplinary team? For our specialised department of old age psychiatry, we are seeking by arrangement a Senior Physician / Consultant (80–100%).

In this responsible position, you have the opportunity to actively shape the psychiatric care of older people, further develop innovative treatment concepts, and lead a multiprofessional team.

• Senior medical management of a geriatric psychiatric ward focusing on dementia/delirium disorders and related neuropsychiatric conditions
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration with the Centre for Geriatric Medicine
• Training and supervision of assistant doctors and psychologists
• Commitment to internal and external continuing education
• Participation in the consultation and liaison services within the hospital
• Cooperation and networking with referrers and institutions

• Completed or well-advanced training as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy
• Specialisation in old age psychiatry and psychotherapy is an advantage
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form (at least level C1)
• Independent, committed, flexible and team-oriented personality with a sense of humour
• Enjoyment of interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration as well as involvement in shaping and further developing treatment and therapy offerings
• Committed cooperation within the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic team with openness to various therapeutic approaches
• Evidence-based working methods

• Work in a well-coordinated, supportive, open and creative team
• Room for responsible, self-initiated work, with opportunities for involvement
• Continuing education opportunities in the form of supervision, intervision and internal and external hospital training
• We hold the FMH continuing education category B in psychiatry and psychotherapy (outpatient and inpatient)
