The Valuation Commission for Wildlife Damage is the first-instance specialised administrative court responsible for determining and assessing damage caused by game animals to forests, agricultural crops and livestock. It decides on the liability for compensation of hunting associations and the canton towards landowners or tenants affected by wildlife damage.
Due to the resignation of a member, the following position is to be newly filled from 1 January 2027 for the remainder of the 2025-2028 term:

What to expect- You will participate in the proceedings of the Valuation Commission. It decides in a panel of three, unless the decision falls within the sole competence of the president.
- Usually, you will be engaged for about ten (half) days per year.
What you bring
- This part-time role requires an experienced professional with an agricultural background and/or knowledge of agricultural crops. Knowledge of agricultural damage assessment and/or hunting-specific expertise is an advantage.
- A completed vocational training EFZ or an equivalent qualification is expected.
- You are independent, flexible and decisive.
We offer you
- A responsible and exciting part-time activity.
- The activity, limited to relatively few cases per year, is remunerated according to effort.
- This function is incompatible with the office of cantonal councillor and with a position in the cantonal administration.
- The electing authority is the High Court.
