About the job
The positions are tied to a PhD at the University of St.Gallen and are designed for 50 - 100%. They are limited to the duration of the PhD. In addition to the PhD, the positions could also be combined with a small teaching load at the secondary level II. At the Institute for Economic Education, we address central questions such as how future-proof, competence-oriented curricula are designed, how effective teaching-learning processes are shaped in various educational contexts (secondary school level II, vocational education, university), and how supportive organizational and systemic framework conditions are created for this. Your Tasks
The positions are to be filled in the field of didactic developments at secondary level II in the area of economics / vocational education as well as in the field of university didactics at the Institute for Economic Education (IWP-HSG) at the University of St.Gallen.
Your tasks:
- Participation in (ongoing) research and development projects at the Institute for Economic Education
- Collaboration with economics and law teachers at secondary level II or lecturers at universities
- Participation in scientific publications
- Teaching assistance in courses of economic education training is possible
- Co-design of economic didactic or university didactic further training
Your Profile
- University master's degree in economic education, educational sciences or related fields with a grade of at least 5.0 (equivalent to 2.0 in DE and AT)
- Scientifically ambitious and motivated to work in the research field of economic didactics / university didactics
- Competencies in the application of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
- Independent and team-oriented working style
- Oral and written language skills in German and English
- Professional practical experience in the areas of responsibility is an advantage
- Experience with the Swiss education system as well as higher teaching qualification is an advantage
