Educational Technology Specialist 80 - 100%COMPETENT AND CONNECTED THINKING
The Secondary School and Vocational Education Office of the Canton of Zurich (MBA) is committed to the interests of youth, politics, and business for the cantonal middle and vocational schools, providers of preparatory vocational years, and training companies. As a customer-oriented service provider, the Digital Service Center Secondary II area of the MBA, in collaboration with various internal and external partners, ensures a contemporary IT service for around 60,000 users at over 40 cantonal schools. This area thus makes an important contribution to the digital transformation of education.
To strengthen the "Educational Technology" team, we are looking for an Educational Technology Specialist (80 to 100%) to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
The "Educational Technology" (EdTech) area deals with technological solutions and digital innovations such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and learning management systems and provides schools with resources to support teaching and learning processes. As a specialist in educational technologies, you lead projects to introduce modern applications and media that meet the needs of teachers and learners. You evaluate technical solutions regarding their compatibility with cantonal (technical and administrative) requirements. In addition, you translate pedagogical needs into technical specifications. You share responsibility for the operation and further development of the EdTech application portfolio. In doing so, you work with various stakeholders (schools, suppliers, Office of IT, etc.).
Your profile
You have a completed degree in Educational Technology, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification. You have experience in leading projects (preferably EdTech projects) and can demonstrate experience in application operation. Ideally, you hold a HERMES certification and have in-depth knowledge of the Swiss education landscape, especially secondary level II. You understand how the market and its players function in the field of educational technologies. You communicate appropriately for the target group, have leadership skills, are decisive, and can assert yourself.
