We have successfully expanded our presence in Europe over the last 10 years with locations in the DACH region in Basel (Switzerland), Böblingen and Penzberg (Germany) and are now looking for an Electrical Engineer/Project Manager Electrical (m/f/d) for our office in Basel at 80 - 100%.
In this role, you take professional responsibility for the electrical discipline in complex pharmaceutical projects. You accompany the projects through all relevant phases – from preliminary planning/concept phase through design planning/basic design and execution planning including tenders/detail design to the execution phase/construction & commissioning and handover to the client. You coordinate internal and external interfaces, lead a small specialist team and ensure that costs, deadlines and quality are always balanced.
Job Description
Your tasks:
- Electrical discipline: management, coordination and execution of electrical trades in the areas of
- Power supply (medium voltage, low-voltage switchgear, generator, UPS, sub-distributions)
- Electrical installations (lighting, blinds, lightning protection, grounding, equipotential bonding)
- Fire and hazard detection technology (fire alarm systems, gas detection systems, evacuation and alarm)
- Project work in all phases: responsibility for electrical planning from feasibility study through concept, basic and detail design to construction & commissioning phase (SIA phases 31, 32, 33, 41, 51, 52, 53)
- Approvals: organisation and support of expert inspections and approvals of electrical systems.
- Project management: control of costs, deadlines and quality within the electrical sub-discipline.
- Submissions & tenders: preparation of tender documents (high and low voltage) and participation in awarding processes.
- Cost management: preparation of initial cost estimates, cost calculations and budgets as well as monitoring of budgets in the electrical department.
- Technical documentation: creation and maintenance of technical documents for building automation, telematics and security systems.
- Interface coordination: close coordination with clients, architects, specialist planners and contractors.

Qualifications
- Completed studies as Electrical Engineer FH/B.Sc., Electrical Technician HF, federally certified electrician or a comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in electrical planning in the DACH region
- Experience in leading or coordinating subprojects in the field of electrical technical building equipment
- Ideally, you have also gained project experience in the following areas:
- Information and communication technology
- Smoke protection and smoke extraction systems
- Security and safety technology
- Measurement, control and regulation/automation
- Entrepreneurial thinking, independent and structured working style.
- Confident appearance and convincing communication in dealing with clients, authorities, suppliers, manufacturers and partners
- Good planning and organisational skills as well as technical imagination.
- Confident handling of common software; experience with MS Office, Messerli, BIM, Revit or similar programmes
- Good knowledge of electrical standards and norms (e.g. NIN, EN, VKF).
- Good knowledge of GMP-regulated production environments
- Very good German (C1) and English skills (B2)
- High willingness to travel within Europe
