With the modernization program SZU_4.0, we are shaping the future of SZU and developing into the most modern S-Bahn in Switzerland (including a new fleet, new maintenance facility). For this development, we are looking for an experienced personality with strategic foresight, a will to shape, and solid expertise. In this newly created role, you will work closely with the division management and shape the long-term development of the rolling stock division. If you like to think ahead, structure complex issues, and drive future projects with substance, you will find an environment here with impact, visibility, and real scope for design.

These are your tasks

• You are part of the division management as a sparring partner and support it in strategic, conceptual, and cross-divisional issues.
• You develop the medium- and long-term orientation of the rolling stock division – especially in the areas of digitalization, future business processes, maintenance models, and organization.
• You position the rolling stock division as an integral part of rail production in company-wide future programs and represent it in cross-divisional as well as strategic development and transformation projects (e.g., new collaboration models, optimization of rail production, further development of the maintenance strategy).
• You build future-proof structures, processes, and control instruments and ensure their sustainable anchoring. In addition, you are responsible for risk management as well as the further development of the safety and quality management system (including ECM certification).
• You ensure consistent communication between the specialist departments.

These are your key competencies

• You have many years of professional and project experience in the field of rail vehicles, mobility, technology, or industrial processes, ideally with strategic or conceptual responsibility.
• You bring proven experience in the development of organizations, business processes, and transformation programs (digitalization, change, new operating models).
• You have a very good understanding of complex systems regarding decision-making processes and management requirements as well as pronounced methodological skills.
• You have completed tertiary education (HF/FH/University) in a technical and/or business administration field.
• You are characterized by a confident appearance, analytical strength, high implementation capability, and enjoyment of responsibility at the strategic level.
