What is my role?

Our client is looking for an experienced leader as of 1 February 2027 or by arrangement for the position of

Head of Locomotive Personnel 100%

In this responsible position in the operational area, you will lead the site managers and their locomotive personnel teams. With your expertise, you will make a significant contribution to a safe, reliable, and customer-friendly railway operation.

Your tasks

• You will lead eight site managers in Eastern Switzerland both professionally and disciplinarily

• You will drive the strategic development of your area of responsibility in line with the company’s objectives

• You will be responsible for ensuring quality, operational safety, and structured incident management

• You will define clear frameworks and responsibilities for successful collaboration

• You will ensure forward-looking personnel planning and duty scheduling

• You will actively participate in projects as well as in the optimisation of processes and work equipment

• You will represent the company in relevant expert committees and projects

What do I need to be successful?

• Solid leadership experience in senior positions, ideally in the railway sector or a comparable environment

• Completed further education at tertiary level (University of Applied Sciences, University or MAS)

• Result-oriented working style with a strong understanding of business contexts

• Convincing communication skills in spoken and written form, combined with empathy

• Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams

• Confident use of MS Office applications
