About the job
Become part of our team as
RAD Physician 50 - 100 %
The Regional Medical Service (RAD) is an insurance medical competence center that prepares independent insurance medical assessments for the IV offices of the cantons LU, NW, OW, SZ, UR, and ZG, and conducts its own examinations and consultation interviews. Around 25 physicians with various specialties are committed to RAD Central Switzerland. Starting immediately or by arrangement, we would like to complement the RAD team with your expert competence; your deployment will be at the WAS headquarters in Kriens and, if necessary, at one of the other IV offices in Central Switzerland. In addition to thorough training in insurance medicine, we offer generous continuing education opportunities including training as a SIM expert, a 42-hour workweek, with working hours flexibly arranged from Monday to Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. (no night/weekend or holiday shifts are required), and the possibility to perform certain tasks from home.
- You assess the health status of insured persons and any possible effects on their ability to work and perform.
- You prepare professional expert reports that lead to fair and just benefit decisions.
- You review medical files and, where necessary, consult with treating physicians.
- You engage in dialogue with vocational integration specialists, the benefits department, and exchange ideas within the RAD team to develop the best possible solutions.
- You also have the opportunity to independently conduct examinations of insured persons on site.
- You hold a specialist medical title (ideally with Swiss recognition) and have specific professional experience in this field.
- You have a strong interest in insurance medical and social insurance law issues.
- You appreciate complex matters and interdisciplinary thinking and enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration with staff from integration, benefits, and legal departments.
- You have a solution-oriented and structured working style and find it easy to make decisions.
- You enjoy close collaboration at the interfaces within the social insurance system as well as insurance medical further training.
- You are a service-oriented personality and value constructive, respectful, and interdisciplinary cooperation at eye level.
