SUISA is the cooperative of composers and publishers of music. Over 43,000 composers, lyricists and music publishers are organised in the company founded in 1923. SUISA enables music to be used publicly and ensures that music creators are fairly paid for this use. Together with sister companies worldwide, it represents the rights of a total of two million authors and publishers. SUISA employs over 220 staff at locations in Zurich, Lausanne and Lugano.

The Members department supports and accompanies authors and publishers throughout Switzerland and abroad from Zurich and Lausanne. In a music industry that is constantly changing, we actively shape the services and relationships with our members.

For our Member Services team in Zurich, we are looking for a committed individual with sound know-how in the music business. Together with your team, you ensure that authors, publishers and other rights holders receive a professional and personal service experience throughout their entire membership – from the first contact, through the use of our services, to the distribution of their royalties.

These activities will inspire you

• You lead and develop a committed team of eight employees and one apprentice.
• You advise authors and publishers on questions regarding membership, rights management and the music business.
• You accompany and support members with complex concerns.
• You continuously develop services, processes and digital offerings.
• You work on cross-departmental projects and digitalisation initiatives.
• You develop new offerings in the areas of education, community building and knowledge transfer for members.
• You acquire new members and further develop existing relationships.
• You prepare special accounts and statistics and provide advice on these.
• You represent SUISA at general meetings, industry events and member occasions.

This is what sets you apart

• Several years of professional experience in the music business, publishing, rights management, booking, label management or a comparable environment
• Completed commercial training, ideally supplemented by further education at university of applied sciences level
• Good understanding of the music industry value chain and the challenges faced by music creators
• Enjoyment of direct exchange with members and partners
• Experience in optimising processes and ideally in digitalisation projects
• Independent, solution-oriented and networked way of working
• Leadership experience or the potential to successfully develop a team
• You are confident in a multilingual environment and communicate fluently in at least two national languages. Good English skills complete your profile.
• Additional language skills are welcome.
