Pain medicine is part of a medium-sized cantonal hospital and has a well-frequented outpatient clinic. In a team of two to three pain specialists, you will care for people with chronic pain on an outpatient basis as well as provide consultative support on the inpatient wards. At the same time, you will be integrated into a larger anaesthesiology department with several experienced senior physicians.

Depending on the agreed work model, you will also work in the anaesthesiology service and participate in the on-call system. The spectrum includes, among other things, surgical anaesthesia and obstetrics.

The location also offers various possibilities: the site is easily accessible from southern Germany and is suitable both for relocating to Switzerland and for a cross-border commuter model. The region combines short distances with a high recreational value between the Rhine, vineyards, and Lake Constance.

Your responsibilities:

• Independent care of patients in the outpatient pain clinic as well as long-term support for chronic pain syndromes
• Performing invasive pain therapy procedures including implantation and follow-up care of neurostimulation systems
• Development of interdisciplinary and holistic treatment concepts
• Depending on the work model, participation in anaesthesiology and the on-call system
• Professional support of junior colleagues and co-shaping the future direction of pain medicine

Your qualifications:

• Specialist title in anaesthesiology, Swiss or MEBEKO recognised
• Proven qualification in interventional pain therapy or advanced practical experience in this field
• Routine in invasive procedures or interest in further expanding the existing spectrum
• Enjoyment in long-term support of people with chronic pain
• Open and appreciative personality with interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and additional professional responsibility
