About the job
The National Roads Department Area VI of the Civil Engineering Office of the Canton of St.Gallen makes a significant contribution to the safety of the national roads in the cantons of Glarus, Thurgau and St.Gallen through its maintenance work.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a
Deputy Head of Neudorf Base (m/f/d)
from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement
Workload: 100%
Workplace: St.Gallen
What to expect
- Professional leadership of around 8 employees including reporting and performance control
- Planning and implementation of signalling work
- Monthly, weekly, daily planning
- Support in the operational maintenance of national and cantonal roads
- On-call duties during winter service and in case of accidents
What distinguishes you
- Completed vocational training in construction, forestry or as a gardener
- Professional and leadership experience as well as further training as a foreman in road maintenance
- Team-oriented, independent and reliable personality
- Willingness for on-call duty and night work
- Driving licence category C/CE or willingness to obtain it
- Accessibility of the depot within 20 minutes
