About the job
As a senior physician at an outpatient psychiatric centre in Central Switzerland, you treat adults within a consistent team and, thanks to a 42-hour week and up to seven weeks of holiday, have more time for your family. You spend your evenings between Lake Zug and the Rigi mountain massif.
Here, psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, and addiction therapeutic basic care is provided for adults across an entire region. The outpatient clinic is part of a network of three locations in the canton. Each location has its own day centre, and the network is recognised as a Category A training centre. The provider is a psychiatric institution with around 600 employees, ensuring care in three Central Swiss cantons and serving as a teaching hospital for the University of Lucerne. It is large enough to offer all settings and internal transfers, yet small enough for decisions to be made quickly.
On site, you will find a consistent team that works closely and openly together. If necessary, you also exchange information with child and adolescent psychiatry. This is practical when the family is also a topic for patients.
And the surroundings? The location is a railway junction on the Gotthard line. Zug can be reached in about 20 minutes, Lucerne in just over half an hour, and direct trains to Zurich run every half hour. From the station, a cog railway runs up to the Rigi, where you can hike in summer and enjoy winter sports in winter. Lake Zug begins right next door.
