About the job
Living with mental health challenges can be demanding – for the affected person as well as their environment. That is why the Interest Group for Social Psychiatry Zurich (IGSP) exists. It was founded 55 years ago out of the need to offer people supported and supervised living arrangements.Our goal: People with mental health challenges lead as independent a life as possible and can participate in society. Three points are central to this: We treat each other with respect and on an equal footing. We work purposefully with the resources that the client brings. And we see the individual person as a whole.
Living in a community while still being able to withdraw: The Sempacherhof residential home offers the best conditions for this. 18 people with a mental health impairment find a home here where they can stabilise and develop. The average age of the residents is about 50 years. The appreciative interaction is characterised by humour.
From 1 November 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a Social Psychiatry Specialist 70-90% with training in psychiatric nursing or social pedagogy (HF/FH).
Your main tasks
3 Goal- and resource-oriented support of people with a mental health impairment
3 Support in everyday life as well as in crisis situations
3 Responsibility as a key contact person and support in individual development steps
3 Collaboration with external contacts and institutions
3 Guidance in learning practical everyday skills
3 Promotion of social skills as well as support of group dynamic processes
Your profile:
3 Training in psychiatric nursing or social pedagogy at HF/FH level
3 Professional experience in psychiatry or supported living
3 Structured working method, networked thinking and enjoyment of collaboration
3 Good IT skills as well as differentiated expressive ability
3 Integrity, enthusiasm and reliable personality with high social skills
3 Domestic skills including cooking as well as organisational talent
