Chef Event – Sous Chef – without room hour
in the city of Basel – without room hour – sought for a classic, stylish and renowned brasserie in the best location. The restaurant impresses with breathtaking architecture. Whether flying dinner, creative menus or apero riche, guests are pampered in every way culinarily.
Your tasks:
- Independent management of the event kitchen and responsible for product quality and profitability
- Responsible for high-quality and qualitative food preparation for events up to 800 people
- Further development of the menu offerings and optimization of processes
- Recruitment, team leadership and training of the team
- Co-responsibility for the kitchen budgets (food costs/staff costs)
- Employee deployment planning
- Ordering system, inventory and control of deliveries
- Ensuring and compliance with legal requirements regarding work and food safety
- Support and co-responsibility for the à la carte kitchen
- Deputy for the head chef during his absence
- Various administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Completed training as a cook EFZ
- Further training to head chef with federal certificate of competence is an advantage
- Very good product knowledge
- High quality awareness
- Leadership qualities
- Resilience and flair for organization
- Numerical flair and cost awareness
- Flexibility regarding working hours
