Job Description
The ideal apprenticeship for young adults with a keen eye for observation and an interest in people, nature and technology!
You will work in various areas of research and development:
- Examining organisms - their structure and development as well as their interaction with active substances and the environment
- Exploring the nature and functioning of living systems as whole organisms - in cell cultures, isolated organs or based on isolated cell components and biomolecules
- Planning and conducting experiments including analysing and documenting
The training lasts 3 years, including 6 months of basic training in our teaching laboratory in Schlieren. During the apprenticeship, you will change your place of work according to the rotation principle and thus get to know ETH from different perspectives.
Profile
You enjoy experimenting and are interested in natural sciences and the environment as well as working with electronic devices and complex apparatus. In addition, you have a good eye for observation, fine motor skills, are reliable and have a careful, structured and precise working style. With your ability to think in a connected way, you approach experiments with sufficient perseverance and patience.
You need a compulsory school leaving certificate for this apprenticeship and good grades in the following school subjects:
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- English
