II. Civil Chamber
The High Court of the Canton of Zurich is, on the one hand, an appellate court in civil and criminal matters and also includes the Commercial Court. On the other hand, it is responsible for the independent judicial administration of the Zurich civil and criminal courts as well as for the notarial system.
The II. Civil Chamber mainly deals with appeals and complaints from district, tenancy, and arbitration courts that are not accepted by the parties and are challenged by a legal remedy. In addition, it handles property claims and civil lawsuits as a court of first instance.

Administrative Secretary - II. Civil Chamber (80-100%)
Your area of responsibility
- Administrative support of appeal and complaint procedures.
- Recording, preparation, drafting and dispatch of summonses and decisions.
- File and deadline control.
- Telephone contacts with courts, authorities, parties and lawyers.
- Statistical processing and archiving of procedures.
- General secretarial duties.
Your profile
- You have completed commercial training and preferably have some professional experience and very good German language skills.
- If you have gained this experience at a court, it is particularly valuable to us.
- You have a strong flair for working on the computer and look forward to the increasing digitalisation of everyday work with ease.
- You are a team player and value service orientation.
- You work independently, efficiently, reliably and accurately.
- You have the ability to keep a cool head even in hectic situations.
- Discretion and interest in Zurich's legal system complete your profile.
