About the job
As part of the Neuro medical department, the University Clinic for Neurology is one of the three main strategic focuses of the Inselspital Bern and, with over 500 employees, the largest neurological clinic in Switzerland. The task of outpatient neuropsychology within the University Neurorehabilitation is the diagnosis and therapy of patients with acquired brain injuries of various aetiologies. To strengthen our outpatient neuropsychology team at the Inselspital location, Wilhelm-Fabry House, we are looking for a new team member.
What to expect
- Planning and conducting neuropsychological diagnostics for questions following brain injuries and neurological diseases
- Written reporting for the referring physicians (behavioural observation and behavioural analysis as well as statements on therapy content, work ability and driving suitability)
- Close interdisciplinary collaboration with other specialist departments
- Advising patients and relatives about brain injury- or disease-related deficits, therapies to be carried out and prognosis
- Active participation in staff training sessions conveying neuropsychological basics, diagnostics and therapy methods
- Active involvement in ongoing research projects is desired
What you bring
- Master’s degree in Psychology as well as specialist title in Neuropsychology FSP or EAN or an equivalent training from another country (if the specialist title is not yet available, advanced training is required in any case)
- Experience with neurological patients is essential, as well as experience in the field of neurorehabilitation is an advantage
- Interest in research activities
- Responsible, flexible and resilient personality with high social competence, enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and interest in clinical work with neurological patients
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form, good French and English skills in spoken language as well as profound user knowledge in MS Office and statistical programmes (SPSS, R)
