About the job
The cantonal police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. For our traffic police special department in Zurich, we are looking for a
Lawyer 50 - 100%
Tasks
- Responsibility for internal and external traffic police legal issues and related legal areas (administrative law, criminal and criminal procedure law, police law, inland navigation law)
- Legal and technical clarifications as well as litigation in traffic orders and road construction projects (drafting of orders and statements in appeal procedures)
- Preparation of statements, co-reports and government council decisions for the security directorate
- Writing specialist articles
- Participation in working and project groups, drafting regulations and instructions
- Training and lecturing activities in internal further education as well as at the Zurich Police School
Profile
- Completed law degree (Master, lic. iur.); bar admission or other additional training (Dr. iur., LL.M. etc.) is an advantage
- Proven professional experience in traffic and administrative law, including procedural law, is an advantage
- Interest in police work
- Flawless German skills in spoken and written form
- Resilient, reliable and organized personality with a diplomatic manner
- High social competence
- Impeccable reputation
