About the job

Join in and become part of our igloo crew! In the heart of the mountains, surrounded by a unique winter landscape, we create a very special experience for our guests with our fondue and sleeping igloos. As a volunteer helper, you support us in building this unique igloo world. In the snow, you shovel, shape, and build. Step by step, a fascinating world of ice and snow emerges, and you have the chance to be right in the middle of it. We are looking for motivated, weatherproof, and energetic helpers to support our igloo team during a short deployment.

What does your day on the Engstligenalp look like?

In the morning and afternoon, you work together with our igloo team on the construction. There is shovelling, sawing, shaping, and of course, teamwork. When most people return to the valley in the evening, calm returns to the snow-covered Engstligenalp, and you almost have the wintry mountain world to yourself. Recover after your work shift in your room at the mountain hotel, enjoy the starry night sky, or relax in the sauna. The special atmosphere high above the valley is a unique mountain experience.

Our compensation

- Ticket for the Engstligenalp cable car - Overnight stay at the Engstligenalp mountain hotel and use of the sauna - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner - Non-alcoholic beverages - Engstligenalp voucher worth CHF 50.– per day

A deployment is possible from a minimum of 3 days. The number of participants is limited to 6 people. Important: The igloo construction is highly dependent on weather and snow conditions. Therefore, there may be short-term changes to the programme or deployment days.
