The IV Office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing change and is focusing on a modern corporate and leadership culture. We want to align our actions more closely with the needs of our clients and advance digitalisation.
What you can achieve with us
- You take responsibility for advising and supporting the integration of young people from registration to the completion of the integration process.
- You carefully analyse the initial situation and involve relevant professionals and institutions in case management, ensuring the flow of information.
- You assign integration-effective measures and use your scope for action purposefully.
- You plan, coordinate and manage collaboration with external partners such as teachers, employers, institutions, coaches, medical professionals, and authorities.
- You support adolescents and young adults in the transition from school to vocational training as well as entry into the working world or retention of their workplace. In doing so, you initiate appropriate integration measures, apply targeted support tools and coordinate their implementation.
- You are a contact person and trusted advisor for young people, parents and involved parties – always empathetic and solution-oriented – actively promoting inter-institutional cooperation and influencing successful integration processes.
Which skills are important to us
- You have a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or a related field (e.g. HR, coaching, case management).
- You bring at least 3 years of professional experience in integration or counselling or, as a career changer, at least 5 years of leadership experience in related fields.
- You are familiar with the education and school system in Switzerland, have a good sense for complex family situations and bring appropriate sensitivity.
- You are strong in coordination, enjoy networking and think solution-oriented, appreciating both independent work and team exchange.
- You enjoy working with young people and present yourself empathetically, clearly and convincingly, able to advise and coach in a solution-oriented manner.
- You handle administrative tasks related to case management efficiently and in a structured way, valuing both independent work and team exchange.
- We are a bilingual (German-French) company, so good knowledge of the other language is an advantage.

Annual working time (42 hours/week), possibility to work part-time and remotely, paid breaks

At least 25 days of holiday annually, 28 days from age 45 and 33 days from age 55. Possibility of unpaid leave
