Refugees, persecuted and/or threatened people should receive appropriate protection in Switzerland. Caritas Switzerland gives these people a voice and advocates for fair procedures. For this purpose, Caritas Switzerland offers legal advice and representation in asylum and immigration law to those affected in the Central Swiss cantons of Lucerne, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Schwyz, Uri and Zug.

• General administrative support for the lawyers
• Responding to and triaging enquiries (email, post and telephone)
• First point of contact for spontaneous visitors
• Organisation and administrative assistance with the open legal advice service
• Recording and archiving files
• Ordering office supplies and maintaining office infrastructure
• Supporting the team in the use of work tools (software, printers, etc.) and triage with ICT
• Taking minutes at team meetings
• Managing, updating and creating workflows
• Reviewing quarterly and annual financial statements
• Processing and checking invoices
• Supporting fundraising activities

• Completed vocational training/vocational baccalaureate school and interest in gaining professional experience in the administrative field
• Proven IT user skills (Office suite)
• Fluent German, spoken and written
• English/French and any other language an advantage
• Interest in legal as well as migration and social policy issues
• Organisational skills and willingness to learn
• Patience in dealing with people in difficult life situations
