The Office for Forest and Nature (WNA) is responsible for the management and preservation of forests, biotopes, the landscape, the protection and promotion of flora and fauna, the prevention and protection against natural hazards, as well as the training of forestry professionals. It has a territorial presence in all regions of the Canton of Fribourg. The various tasks are coordinated at the headquarters, with implementation carried out in the forestry districts and in the supervisory areas of the gamekeepers.

Your tasks
- You lead the 2nd forestry district professionally, organisationally and strategically
- You are committed to the protection, preservation and sustainable development of forests
- You actively participate in the management of protective forests
- You plan, coordinate and accompany measures to promote biodiversity
- You support the further development of multifunctional and future-oriented forest management
Desired profile
- You preferably hold a diploma as a forestry engineer ETH/FH or an equivalent qualification
- You bring personnel management skills and have experience in a leadership position
- You have strong team and communication skills and are confident in dealing with forest stakeholders, authorities and partners
- You have sound knowledge in the areas of protective forest care and forestry construction and are interested in biodiversity promotion as well as forestry regulatory issues
- You are proficient with common IT tools, have experience with geographic information systems and bring project management skills
- You work independently, take responsibility and are able to lead and successfully implement complex tasks in a structured manner
- You are fluent in German and have good knowledge of French
