For an established Swiss company with a sophisticated IT landscape, we are looking for an experienced individual in the field of System Engineering. You will take on a central role in the operation and further development of the internal infrastructure while also having the opportunity to actively shape technical projects and future solutions.
We are not looking for a pure administrator, but an independent personality who questions existing systems, recognises technical improvements and implements them together with the team.
- Support and optimisation of server, virtualisation and platform solutions
- Administration of central infrastructure services and user environments
- Ensuring availability, stability and performance of the systems managed
- Analysis and sustainable resolution of complex technical faults
- Planning and implementation of changes as well as introduction of new technologies
- Participation in the further development of security, system architecture and operational processes
- Design and realisation of technical solutions in collaboration with internal specialist departments
- Taking responsibility in infrastructure and migration projects
- Support in demanding support cases and technical escalations
- Creation and further development of technical documentation and operational concepts
- Several years of professional experience in system engineering and operation of demanding IT infrastructures
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Server environment
- Solid experience with Active Directory and central infrastructure services
- Good knowledge in the area of virtualisation, preferably with VMware
- Experience with databases or database-related infrastructures is an advantage
- Knowledge of Linux environments is an additional plus
- Experience in planning and implementing IT projects
- Good understanding of IT security and reliable system operation
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
- High sense of responsibility and enjoyment in driving technical topics forward independently
- Very good German skills as well as good English skills

Profile
- Completed training in computer science and ideally further education at HF or FH level- Several years of professional experience in system engineering and operation of demanding IT infrastructures
