Nurse in the Paediatric Cardiology Unit
To strengthen its team, the Woman-Mother-Child Department (DFME) is looking, from 1 June 2026 or for a date to be agreed, for a nurse for its Paediatric Cardiology Unit, at a 70% activity rate.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of care, medical research and training.
The Woman-Mother-Child Department (DFME) brings together the services of gynaecology, obstetrics, neonatology, paediatrics and child and adolescent surgery. More than 1,500 professionals provide specialised and comprehensive care for women and children, from birth to adolescence.
The Paediatric Cardiology Unit is part of the mission of paediatric outpatient clinics, which provide primary and tertiary outpatient services, including follow-up of chronic patients and specialised advice, in a multidisciplinary approach centred on the child and their family.
Mission
- You participate in outpatient consultation: welcoming patients, setting up and taking vital signs
- You perform specialised technical care in paediatric cardiology: ECG, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, placement and reading of Holters, R-test, blood sampling, insertion of venous lines, injections, pump filling
- You collaborate closely and work in pairs with ASSC and reference nurses
- You ensure the sorting of examinations and preparation of Holter results before medical validation
- You participate in the management of outpatient emergencies, including requests related to hospitalisation (additional consultations, ECG, Holters)
- You participate in the rhythmology consultation
- You prepare external consultations as well as the necessary documents and devices
- You ensure the verification of equipment, including the emergency trolley and specific equipment used.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross
- You have experience in a similar position, ideally in paediatrics
- You demonstrate rigour, organisational skills and good adaptability
- You are a dynamic, positive person and appreciate working in a multidisciplinary team
- You are proficient with common computer tools.
Depending on profile and experience, the salary level will be between 8 and 9.
