YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Management and coordination of mechanical systems and assemblies of our rail vehicles
- Planning, control, and monitoring of mechanical development and design processes
- Teamwork and technical coordination with internal specialist departments (project management, engineering, procurement, etc.) as well as external partners and suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and deadline requirements, especially the demands of customer specifications, standards, and the state of the art
- Creation and maintenance of technical specifications, requirements documents, project plans, and technical documents
- Support in fault analysis and troubleshooting in the mechanical area
- Participation in the validation and verification of mechanical components and assemblies
- Budget responsibility and resource planning for the subproject
- Project-related, professional leadership of assigned employees
- Supervision of project phases (procurement, production, commissioning, type tests, passenger operation) of the vehicles
- Collaboration with customers, suppliers, and approval authorities in an international environment
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, vehicle technology, or comparable education
- Several years of experience in managing mechanical development projects, ideally in the rail vehicle or transport sector
- Sound knowledge of CAD software, design methods, and mechanical manufacturing technology
- Experience in project management and coordination of interdisciplinary teams
- You are a generalist and system integrator. You enjoy the challenge of combining numerous technical systems into a functioning whole within a creative yet systematic engineering process
- Open, communicative, independent, and goal-oriented personality with problem-solving skills
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
