• Management and coordination of mechanical systems and assemblies of our rail vehicles
• Planning, control, and monitoring of mechanical development and design processes
• Teamwork and technical coordination with internal specialist departments (project management, engineering, procurement, etc.) as well as external partners and suppliers
• Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and deadline requirements, especially the demands of customer specifications, standards, and the state of the art
• Creation and maintenance of technical specifications, requirements documents, project plans, and technical documents
• Support in fault analysis and troubleshooting in the mechanical area
• Participation in the validation and verification of mechanical components and assemblies
• Budget responsibility and resource planning for the subproject
• Project-related, professional leadership of assigned employees
• Supervision of project phases (procurement, production, commissioning, type tests, passenger operation) of the vehicles
• Collaboration with customers, suppliers, and approval authorities in an international environment

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering, vehicle technology, or comparable education
• Several years of experience in managing mechanical development projects, ideally in the rail vehicle or transport sector
• Sound knowledge of CAD software, design methods, and mechanical manufacturing technology
• Experience in project management and coordination of interdisciplinary teams
• You are a generalist and system integrator. You enjoy the challenge of combining numerous technical systems into a functioning whole within a creative yet systematic engineering process
• Open, communicative, independent, and goal-oriented personality with problem-solving skills
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
