At the Office for Military and Civil Protection, around 140 employees at the locations Zurich, Birmensdorf, and Andelfingen make an important contribution to the safety of the population.
The Civil Protection Department at the Training Center in Andelfingen (AZA) is responsible for the training and further education of the civil protection personnel in the Canton of Zurich.
For the area of operations and community support, we are looking for a Deputy Chief Operations starting from 01.11.2025 or by agreement, who will ensure the implementation of federal and cantonal civil protection measures.
The Civil Protection Department at the Training Center in Andelfingen (AZA) is responsible for the training and further education of the civil protection personnel in the Canton of Zurich.
For the area of operations and community support, we are looking for a Deputy Chief Operations starting from 01.11.2025 or by agreement, who will ensure the implementation of federal and cantonal civil protection measures.
Your Tasks
- Ensuring the professional and organizational representation of the Chief Operations, especially in administrative and personnel matters as a leadership tandem
- Leading the assigned troop body within the cantonal civil protection organization
- Ensuring the preparation, execution, and evaluation of inspection exercises (RIFORMA)
- Interface to the troop body ZS Kp Airport as Deputy Commander Kp Airport or C Training Kp Airport
- Course leadership in cantonal training and further education courses
Your Profile
- Completed technical or commercial basic training (EFZ)
- Professional certificate as Civil Protection Instructor and/or Trainer desired or willingness to complete the necessary training
- Higher management position with several years of operational and leadership experience in a population protection or military organization
- You have good IT skills (MS 365)
- Your German is fluent in both spoken and written form
- You are a team player and an innovative, open-minded, and communicative personality
- You are willing to work irregular hours/night shifts
- Driver's license category B, if possible category BE, D1
