For over 75 years, AVIVO has defended the interests of retirees and future retirees. With nearly 9,000 members, our association is a key player in Geneva's social, associative, and political life. We work daily to promote dignity, rights, solidarity, and quality of life for retired people.
To ensure the operational management of our activities, we are looking for a:
Coordinator / Association Manager at 80%
(32 hours per week)
Your mission
Under the responsibility of the Presidency and in close collaboration with the Board and Committee, you will ensure the operational management of the association.
You will oversee the daily functioning of AVIVO, implement the decisions of its governing bodies, and coordinate all administrative, financial, human resources, communication, and project activities.
You will supervise the salaried team, coordinate volunteers, and represent the association with institutional partners when necessary.
Your main responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the association and ensure the quality of services offered to members.
- Implement the strategic directions defined by AVIVO's governing bodies.
- Prepare Board and Committee meetings and follow up on their decisions.
- Supervise general administration, finances, accounting, budgeting, and grant applications.
- Manage the salaried team, lead HR processes, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Coordinate volunteers and support the association's various projects.
- Lead institutional communication (journal, newsletter, website, social media, media relations).
- Develop relationships with authorities, partners, and the associative network.
- Participate in organising the association's main events.
Your profile
You have:
- a higher education qualification or equivalent experience in association management, a non-profit organisation, or public administration;
- proven experience in coordinating or managing a comparable organisation;
- at least five years of team management experience;
- good knowledge of financial management, budget monitoring, and fundraising;
- excellent writing and organisational skills;
- a good command of Microsoft 365, digital tools, and social media;
- a good understanding of Geneva's institutional, political, and associative fabric, the functioning of associations, and Swiss social legislation.
