The cantonal police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for safety in the canton. For our traffic police special department, Traffic Orders Service, in Zurich, we are looking for a
Traffic Engineer 70 - 100%
Tasks
- Reviewing applications regarding traffic orders from authorities, municipalities, and cities
- Reviewing and preparing expert reports (traffic safety, traffic engineering, noise)
- Reviewing road construction projects with regard to traffic planning and traffic safety aspects as well as legal compliance
- Planning and conducting project meetings with internal and external partners
- Issuing permanent and temporary traffic orders
Profile
- Completed university degree or equivalent education with FH degree
- CAS Traffic Safety Expert is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in traffic planning / traffic engineering
- Good communication skills and assertiveness
- Impeccable reputation
