Your Tasks

The Settlement Green main department, with its 70 employees, is responsible for the maintenance of the public green spaces of the city of Winterthur. To fulfil these important and diverse tasks, we are looking for a committed, dedicated person with organisational talent. In addition to a dynamic team and a professional environment, Stadtgrün Winterthur offers you modern infrastructure and an extensive fleet of machinery. • Leading small groups with the aim of differentiated and sustainable maintenance focusing on perennials as well as green and open spaces

• Maintaining and creating new and established perennial areas

• Assisting with other maintenance and construction work in historic gardens, schools and roadside greenery

• Competent and safe operation of general maintenance machines

• Assisting in the development and implementation of district-specific projects

Your Profile

• Completed apprenticeship as a gardener EFZ specialising in perennials or garden and landscape construction with experience in garden maintenance, prior knowledge of nature-oriented garden care desired

   

• Several years of professional experience in perennial care / green space maintenance

• Independence, teamwork, sense of responsibility, reliability as well as service orientation

• Driving licence category BE
