Head of Procurement Projects & Technology

You lead the Procurement Projects & Technology department with foresight and a desire to shape. As the central contact person for specialist departments, project management and management, you ensure optimal procurement solutions, further develop strategies and make a decisive contribution to the success of our investment projects.

Your tasks

• Professional and disciplinary leadership of the assigned employees
• Creating and adhering to the budget and achieving the goals, as well as initiating measures in case of deviations
• Ensuring compliance, correction and optimisation of workflows in the assigned area with regard to cost-effectiveness, quality and customer satisfaction
• Develops decision-making bases and recommendations for action for project managers and other stakeholders and supports their implementation
• Recognises goal conflicts early, develops viable solutions and ensures timely implementation of relevant procurement projects
• Regularly informs the management of the organisational area about key figures and special incidents
• Ensures demand-oriented procurement of all deliveries and services under the best possible conditions and optimal delivery flow
• Ensures a professional and demand-oriented procurement service for internal customers along the entire supply chain
• Continuously develops the procurement organisation and procurement strategy and ensures effective planning, control and optimisation of operational and strategic purchasing processes to achieve corporate goals
• Monitors the market regarding supply security, prices, supplier and service provider offers, innovations and new developments

Your profile

• Completed technical or commercial basic training supplemented by business management further education in the supply chain or procurement area at HF/FH level
• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, technical purchasing and supplier management, ideally in the food industry, industrial production environment or plant engineering
• Very good analytical skills as well as strong negotiation, communication and assertiveness skills
• Strong leadership skills with experience in professional and disciplinary leadership of employees as well as in the further development of teams, organisations and processes. Ability to successfully involve and communicate appropriately with different people, functions and cultures
• Several years of experience in leading and implementing investment, procurement or technical projects
• High competence in stakeholder management with the ability to successfully collaborate as a solution-oriented team player with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Knowledge of compliance, risk and sustainability management as well as contract law
• Experience in digitalising and optimising procurement processes and in using ERP systems, ideally SAP
• Very good German and good English skills
