About Mr B. managing the path from the living room to the garden alone after his knee operation. These moments don’t happen in the therapy room, but where people truly live – in their own home, in their own neighbourhood. That’s exactly where your skills come into play.

• 08:00 You start with your company car. First appointment in Gossau – client after stroke, gait training and balance. You already know her, know what’s planned for this week.
• 08:15 Stairwell instead of therapy room. Three steps, one handrail, no banister on the left side. This is where what really matters in everyday life becomes visible.
• You observe, correct and instruct the husband in the exercises between your appointments.
• 09:45 Short drive to St. Gallen. On the way you call the occupational therapist – shared client, coordination on assistive devices. Rollator or walking stick? The decision is made together, today.
• 10:15 Second appointment: mobilisation after hip replacement. You look at the path from the bed to the bathroom, the door thresholds, the entrance – and immediately know how the rehabilitation will proceed over the next three weeks.
• You write the report to the health insurance later easily via app.
• 12:30 Lunch break – you choose where. No canteen table, no briefing in the meeting room.
• 13:30 to 16:30 Three more appointments in Wittenbach, Herisau and Rorschach. Fall prevention, respiratory therapy, strength building – all in the real everyday life of the clients.
• Finished at 17:00.

• Mobile physiotherapy at clients’ homes – apartment, stairwell, neighbourhood
• Neurorehabilitation, geriatrics and orthopaedics – after stroke, hip or knee replacement, fall or hospital discharge
• Gait training, balance training and fall prevention as well as manual therapy and respiratory therapy in the real living environment
• Instruct relatives as co-therapists and collaborate interdisciplinarily with occupational therapy, speech therapy and nursing
• Reports for disability insurance, health insurers and referring doctors – digital, on the go

• Diploma as a physiotherapist FH or equivalent qualification – recognised in Switzerland
• Driving licence category B – you drive daily between your appointments. Company car including private use provided from day one.
• Experience with adults – neurology, geriatrics or orthopaedics. Paediatrics is a different field.
• Independent working – you decide on site, without a supervisor in the room. The team is reachable by phone, but not present.
• You don’t need your own therapy room – your workplace is the client’s home. That’s method, not compromise.
