The municipality of Chêne-Bourg is advertising the position of

The Social Cohesion Service works to strengthen and develop solidarity and proximity within the Municipality. Within a small multidisciplinary team, the social service provides social and administrative support and offers individual assistance to residents.

Reporting to the head of the service, you will assist residents with various administrative procedures, collaborate closely with the Geneva socio-health network, and manage the occasional social assistance benefits offered or supported by the Municipality,

You will also participate in organising certain community projects or actions of the service, particularly aimed at children, young people and the elderly.

Required profile:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in social work or an equivalent qualification.
• Have at least 3 years’ experience as a social worker in the Swiss or Geneva territory, particularly within a municipal, state or associative administration.
• Have a very good knowledge of the Swiss social insurance system and the Geneva socio-health network.
• Be able to demonstrate versatility within a small team.
• Be capable of working in an organised manner, autonomously and collaboratively.
• Have a sense of public service, interpersonal skills, tact and discretion.
• Have a strong team spirit and good communication skills.
• Master written and spoken French and be able to write independently.
• Be proficient with common computer tools.
