About the job
The Criminal Department deals with serious crime, offenses of supraregional significance, and new criminal phenomena with its specialists. With professional and technical know-how - from the crime scene through data management to investigations in complex fraudulent schemes - it solves crimes or contributes to success as a service provider.
Your tasks
- Participation in the establishment and further development of the "Telecommunications Surveillance Competence Center" in the role of Scientific Employee – if interested and suitable, the position of Deputy Head of Department can be taken on at a later date
- Deployment as an operator as well as advisor to the operational management both in everyday situations and in major and/or special operations
- Evaluation and commissioning of technical devices as well as their maintenance and further development
- Providing services for the investigation departments, conducting measurement drives, training employees, and advising colleagues in various areas of the criminal department
- Representing the Competence Center in national and international working groups as well as at specialist conferences
Your profile
- Completed studies in electrical engineering / telecommunications or many years of experience in the mobile communications sector
- Sound knowledge of telecommunications as well as high technical affinity and willingness to learn
- Experience in criminal police and/or procurement, especially in the procurement of complex technical devices, is an advantage
- Analytical thinking, resilience, and high performance in demanding operational situations
- Willingness to perform exciting assignments outside office hours, including on-call duty (driver's license category B required)
