Operations Agent "Green Spaces" 100%
Your mission
You will ensure the maintenance, enhancement and development of green spaces and municipal landscaping. You will organise and plan the sector’s work in coordination with the head of department and support the staff assigned to it. You will oversee the care of the tree heritage, the quality of the landscaping and biodiversity. You will also participate in the general work of the department, winter service, municipal events and emergency interventions.
Your main responsibilities
- Take operational responsibility for the Green Spaces sector
- Plan maintenance work in coordination with the head of department.
- Ensure the quality of landscaping and the biodiversity of municipal spaces.
- Carry out planting, pruning, tree surgery and landscaping maintenance work.
- Maintain parks, gardens, flower beds, watercourses and their surroundings.
- Maintain playgrounds, street furniture and cemeteries.
- Carry out routine maintenance of vehicles, machines and tools of the department.
- Participate in the general work of the department.
- Participate in the winter on-call service.
Your profile
- Recognised Federal VET Diploma in horticulture, landscaping, arboriculture or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and development of green spaces, ideally within a public authority.
- Good knowledge of arboriculture, landscaping maintenance, biodiversity and sustainable management of green spaces.
- Ability to organise and plan work as well as coordinate a small team.
- Sense of responsibility, autonomy, reliability and ability to take initiative within the scope of assigned tasks.
- Team spirit, good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with different departments and partners.
- Good physical condition, availability and willingness to participate in winter service, on-call duty and emergency interventions.
- Driving licence appropriate to the needs of the position and ease in using and maintaining the department’s machines, vehicles and equipment.
