Administrative Assistant / Specialist Immigration Department
Office for Migration and Civil Law | 80-100 % | Chur (fixed-term until 31.12.2027)
The Office for Migration and Civil Law currently employs 230 staff at over 20 locations and is responsible for the entire range of tasks in the field of migration, i.e. in particular the granting and withdrawal of permits, accommodation and care, enforcement of expulsions as well as integration. In addition, identity cards for Swiss nationals are issued, naturalisations are carried out and supervision of civil status authorities is exercised. The headquarters of the Office for Migration and Civil Law is in Chur.
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant / Specialist Immigration Department for the Office for Migration and Civil Law from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.
- Checking and processing incoming applications
- Issuing foreign law documents and permits
- Oral and written communication with applicants, employers as well as federal, cantonal and municipal authorities
- Partially serving and advising customers and visitors at reception
- Completed commercial or equivalent basic training
- Flexibility to work annualised hours or willingness to work as required by the employer
- Pleasant manners and willingness to integrate into an existing, open-minded team
- Resilience and flexibility in busy work situations
- Efficient and precise task completion as well as knowledge of common IT programmes
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
