Platform Engineer Backup & Cyber-Disaster Recovery (m/f/d)

Our Data & Storage Platform division with over 25 employees is responsible for the further development and operation of the business-critical data and storage infrastructure. You rely on modern technologies to ensure a reliable and scalable data and storage landscape.

In your role as Platform Engineer Backup & Cyber-Disaster Recovery, you design and develop our business-critical backup and cyber-disaster recovery landscape further. You take on the technical responsibility for robust and automated solutions and make a significant contribution to the bank's cyber resilience. This ensures that critical systems can be restored quickly and in a controlled manner after incidents.

• Responsible for and operating the backup and cyber-disaster recovery platforms for business-critical systems
• Developing and automating recovery processes and scenarios to ensure critical services can be restored quickly and in a controlled manner after a cyber incident.
• Analysing requirements and technologies for the continuous development of the platforms.
• Ensuring the stable operation of the backup and storage infrastructure for business-critical systems
• Advising internal stakeholders to support technical decision-making.
• Collaborating with information security and other infrastructure teams to implement cyber resilience and recovery requirements holistically 

• Completed studies (university/FH/HF) in computer science or an equivalent qualification
• Several years of solid experience in engineering and operating complex backup and recovery infrastructures in an enterprise environment
• In-depth practical experience with IBM Storage Protect or comparable enterprise backup solutions; knowledge of IBM hardware, NetApp and Brocade SAN is an advantage
• Experience with cyber resilience, cyber disaster recovery, immutable backups, cleanroom/isolated recovery and related security and recovery concepts
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
• You work independently, in a structured and team-oriented manner
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
