You strategically develop our SAP landscape (S/4HANA) further and lead our in-house team with five other employees. As Head of the SAP Competence Centre, you set the professional direction and consistently develop the platform further into the cloud to increase the benefits for our departments.

What to expect

• You are responsible for the strategic orientation and roadmap of our existing S/4HANA landscape and set the professional development of SAP BTP and cloud transformation
• You lead the SAP team professionally and personally, develop it further and empower your employees
• You are the central contact and coordination point externally – towards departments, management, as well as partners and suppliers
• You manage the SAP project and investment portfolio and prioritise initiatives along the corporate strategy
• You are responsible for the solution architecture of the SAP landscape – target image, interfaces and integration – on a conceptual level
• You ensure a stable, secure and economical SAP operation; the operational implementation in the modules lies with your team, which you lead and manage
• You are responsible for governance, security and quality standards as well as audit-relevant processes and ICS controls
• You manage external partners and service providers and negotiate their services.

What you bring

• Several years of leadership experience in an SAP-related role (e.g. as SAP Competence Centre Lead, in SAP programme/project management or SAP team leadership)
• Solid, strategic SAP experience – you come from the SAP world, know the SAP product landscape and can set a course
• Extensive experience in operating and further developing an S/4HANA landscape as well as with SAP cloud transformations (cloud move, e.g. RISE with SAP)
• Ideally experience with the relevant maintenance and logistics modules (SAP EAM/PM, MM, EWM; advantage Linear Asset Management), preferably from a plant-intensive environment – ideally from public transport (PT) or the railway sector
• Good understanding of SAP architectures, SAP BTP, interfaces and integration
• Strong entrepreneurial and strategic thinking, forward-looking and open to new things
• Persuasiveness and enjoyment in representing SAP topics externally and winning people over to a direction
• Communicative, assertive and engaging leadership personality
• Networked thinking and collaboration in cross-departmental teams
• Business administration or business informatics degree or equivalent further training is an advantage.
