The Plantahof is a service of the Department of Public Economy and Social Affairs and is the competence center for agricultural training and consulting in the Canton of Graubünden. In addition to the basic vocational school in agriculture, Plantahof offers various continuing education cycles, professional development courses, and conferences and is responsible for comprehensive consulting and the transfer of specialist knowledge in favor of Graubünden agricultural and alpine farms and other circles dealing with agricultural issues. For these purposes, it also operates its own agricultural and experimental farm at four different locations along with two farm shops. It also has a conference center with boarding, auditorium, and cafeteria.
For January 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for a collaborator for the crop cultivation team in Landquart, responsible for crop cultivation at the main site (PER, 60 ha) and at Ganda (organic, 20 ha) in Landquart. The division of employment between two people is possible.
Tasks
- Carrying out all crop and forage cultivation work on a diversified farm
- Independent work with agricultural machinery in crop and forage cultivation
- Maintenance of machinery and agricultural tools, as well as equipment
- Execution of external landscaping work
- If necessary, support for additional work on the farm
What we expect from you
- Completed vocational training as a farmer
- In-depth knowledge of crop and forage cultivation as well as a strong interest in agricultural and forage crops
- Independent work with agricultural machinery and familiarity with simple maintenance work on machinery and tools
- Category B driving license with trailer exam, possibly forklift exam
- A varied job awaits you within a motivated team
- The working language is generally German. Knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
